UK weather? Bring it on. From torrential rain to summer heatwaves, your garden room needs to stand strong against the elements – and at My Eco Garden Room, we make sure it does.
Our build process includes carefully layered weather-proofing solutions that work together to keep your space dry, protected and comfortable all year round.
A roof you can count on
We use EPDM rubber roofing – a modern, high-performance material with a life expectancy of over 50 years. It’s seamless, watertight, and UV-resistant, which means no leaks, no cracking, and no fading – just reliable protection for decades to come.
Breathable, protective wrapping
To keep the structure dry from the inside out, we wrap every garden room in a breathable weather membrane. This acts as a moisture barrier, allowing any trapped condensation to escape while blocking rain, wind, and drafts from entering the building.
Ground-level protection
Depending on your garden conditions, we also use heavy-duty landscaping fabric underneath the building to prevent moisture from rising through the ground. Where needed, we apply bitumen sealant to exposed underside areas for extra long-term durability.
Every layer is there for a reason – not just to meet building standards, but to surpass them, ensuring your garden room stays as cosy and beautiful in year ten as it was on day one.
